A Front-Row View of the East Coast

This camera looks out over the east coast seafront of Saint Peter Port, the capital of Guernsey. In the foreground a coastal road and esplanade run beside a rugged rocky foreshore, while the open waters of the English Channel stretch toward the horizon.

Harbour and Cross-Channel Ferries

To one side rises the harbour breakwater that shelters the island's main port. Watch cross-Channel ferries, fishing boats and cargo vessels make their way to and from the quays, connecting the Channel Islands with the English and French mainlands.

Saint Peter Port and the Bailiwick

Saint Peter Port is the historic capital of the Bailiwick of Guernsey, a self-governing British Crown Dependency. Its steep cobbled streets, Regency architecture and maritime heritage make it one of the most picturesque towns in the Channel Islands.

What to Watch

Beyond the passing ships, the scene takes in the island's flag on its pole, parked cars along the seafront and a sweeping panorama of sea and sky that captures the rhythm of island life on this exposed stretch of coast.
