Çobanlı İskelesi Pier Walk

The Pier

The Çobanlı İskelesi is a narrow timber-and-concrete walkway that stretches far out over the sea, drawing strollers, photographers and patient anglers who line its railings. The camera frames its full length, with the open Black Sea on either side.

The Coastline

Beyond the pier, the Atakum shoreline unfolds in a sweep of sandy beach backed by palm-lined promenades. The rolling hills of Samsun, dense with apartments and red-roofed homes, climb gently toward the horizon.

Black Sea Setting

This stretch of the Karadeniz coast is one of the city's favourite gathering spots, where the broad bay meets a lively waterfront. The pier offers an uninterrupted vantage over the water and the urban skyline alike.
