Everything you need to know about this live stream
The Marine Lake
Clevedon Marine Lake is a tidal saltwater pool first opened in 1929, replenished by the sea across a curving concrete seawall. Its sheltered expanse has become a beloved spot for open-water swimmers, paddlers and small-boat sailors who share the calm water year-round.
Sailing & Watersports
The lake is home to an active sailing club, and the camera regularly captures brightly-sailed dinghies tacking across the pool. The protected basin offers ideal conditions for beginners while the open Bristol Channel beyond tests more experienced crews.
Wain's Hill & the Coastline
Rising to the left of the frame, the wooded headland of Wain's Hill shelters the lake and carries an Iron Age hillfort and coastal footpaths. From its slopes, walkers enjoy panoramic views over the muddy-brown tidal waters of the Bristol Channel and the Welsh coast beyond.
The Promenade
A Victorian seafront promenade runs along the water's edge, lining the shore with benches, shelters and a much-loved coastal walkway. It links the marine lake to Clevedon's elegant pier, one of the finest surviving seaside piers in England.
