The Charles Berry Bridge

Spanning the Black River, the Charles Berry Memorial Bridge is celebrated as one of the largest double-leaf bascule bridges in the world. Its twelve-span, thousand-foot structure lifts its main leaves to let vessels pass, a piece of working engineering that anchors the entire scene.

Black River Landing

At the water's edge sits Black River Landing, an open-air amphitheater and event lawn that hosts concerts and gatherings. The riverfront promenade, tented pavilion and green terraces make this a lively focal point of the Lorain waterfront.

Marina & Lake Erie Gateway

The camera also captures the marina and boat docks where the Black River meets Lake Erie. This channel is a busy maritime gateway, with sailboats, pleasure craft and occasional Great Lakes freighters threading past the bridge.
