The Beach

Praia do Campeche is a long, open stretch of fine sand facing the South Atlantic, prized for its consistent swell and uncrowded feel compared with the busier beaches of central Florianópolis. The offshore Ilha do Campeche rises on the horizon, a protected archaeological reserve that gives the bay its distinctive profile.

A Surfer's Coast

This is one of the island's premier surf breaks, where Atlantic groundswells produce steep, hollow waves that draw bodyboarders and surfers throughout the year. The exposed shoreline and shifting sandbanks make every session a little different.

The Setting
