A Storied Fishing Village

Câmara de Lobos is one of the oldest settlements on Madeira, named for the monk seals (lobos marinhos) once found along its shores. Brightly painted fishing boats still gather in its natural harbour, preserving a working maritime tradition that has endured for centuries.
