Brumov Castle Ruins

A Gothic Hilltop Fortress

Founded in the late thirteenth century to guard a key route between Moravia and Hungary, Brumov Castle (Hrad Brumov) crowns a steep promontory of the White Carpathians. Its surviving palace, defensive walls and gateway tower trace centuries of border defence, from royal stronghold to noble residence.

The View from the Walls
