Bridge Street is one of the best-preserved commercial streetscapes in the American Southwest. Its two-story brick buildings, ornate cornices and ground-floor shopfronts grew up around the arrival of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway, when Las Vegas was one of the largest towns between the Mississippi and the Pacific.
