A Classic North Sea Resort

Blankenberge is one of the oldest and liveliest seaside towns on the Belgian coast, famed for its long stretch of fine sand and its grand seafront promenade. The Zeedijk Promenade

Blankenberge Pier

Reaching out over the waves toward the right of the frame is the iconic Blankenberge Pier (the "Belgium Pier"), a landmark first built in 1894 and rebuilt in striking modernist form. Beyond it, cargo ships and ferries trace the horizon of one of the busiest shipping lanes in the world.
