A Rewilded Danish Backyard

This 4K live stream looks out over a patch of temperate forest in northern Jutland, the home of wildlife photographer Morten Hilmer. Since 2021 he has worked to rewild the land so it can rebuild its own natural balance, and the camera captures the slow, intimate rhythm of that recovering habitat.

Birds, Squirrels and Forest Life

The clearing is provisioned every few days with peanuts, hazelnuts, corn and sunflower seeds to draw in birds and red squirrels without making them dependent. Patient watchers see tits, finches, woodpeckers and other woodland visitors moving among the mossy fallen branches.

The Surrounding Woodland

Set near the great woods around Skørping in the North Denmark Region, the scene is one of dense deciduous canopy, decaying timber and thriving undergrowth — a working example of how a managed wild space supports a rich community of small creatures.

A Living Nature Study

The feed doubles as an open nature study: viewers log sightings against timestamps and follow the comings and goings of the forest's residents, turning a single quiet backyard view into a long-running record of Danish woodland wildlife.
