Location and Geography

The Kanto Region spans across Japan's largest plain, encompassing seven prefectures including Tokyo, Kanagawa, Saitama, Chiba, Ibaraki, Tochigi, and Gunma. This strategic location on the eastern coast of Honshu makes it the primary administrative and economic center of the country.

Economic and Urban Center

As Japan's most populous region, Kanto is home to approximately one-third of the national population and concentrates the main government institutions, multinational corporations, and technological innovation centers. The megalopolis of Greater Tokyo represents the core of this dynamic region.
