A Broad Urban Sweep of Sand

The wide arc of golden sand runs along the Gros district, lined with a promenade and backed by the city. Families, swimmers and walkers share the spacious shore, one of the most lively coastal stretches in San Sebastián.

Framed by Monte Ulía and the Headland

To the east the beach is closed by a green, wooded headland and a breakwater that shelters the bay. The Kursaal cubes and the mouth of the Urumea river sit just to the west, marking the boundary with the city centre.
