Perched high above the Westfield River, this live webcam delivers a commanding view of the elevated rail viaduct carrying the CSX Berkshire Subdivision through Westfield, Massachusetts. The double-tracked main line is a busy corridor where mixed freight, intermodal stacks, and autorack trains climb the steep grade of the Berkshires.

The Great River Bridge and the Westfield River

Dominating the scene is the green steel truss of the Great River Bridge, which spans the winding Westfield River as it flows beneath the railway. A second weathered steel rail bridge stands in the distance, a remnant of the former New York, New Haven and Hartford line now repurposed as a rail trail.
