The Waycross Diamond

This camera frames the Waycross diamond, the point where three former Atlantic Coast Line railroad lines — the Jesup, Fitzgerald and Thomasville Subdivisions — cross. The constant flow of CSX traffic makes it one of the busiest rail junctions in the southeastern United States.

A Railfan Landmark

Hosted at the Downtown Waycross depot and viewing platform, the vantage looks out over restored station buildings, semaphore-era signals and the adjacent Rice Yard, a major CSX classification and locomotive facility just beyond the frame.
