An Elevated View Over Tromsø Harbour

This panoramic webcam looks south across the harbour of Tromsø from a raised vantage in the Vervet quarter, the redeveloped Mack-brewery waterfront on Tromsøya island. The wide frame takes in the full sweep of the sound, with the city's quays, rooftops and the dark waters of the channel laid out below.

The Marina and Working Waterfront

In the foreground a small-boat marina shelters behind a graceful curving breakwater, its pontoons crowded with sailing yachts and motor craft. Across the channel the Tromsø city-centre waterfront runs along the quays, where a red-hulled expedition ship lies moored against the working port.
