A Working West-Coast Harbour
This live webcam overlooks the Tofino Sea Kayaking base and the adjacent Canadian Coast Guard Lifeboat Station, capturing one of the busiest waterfronts on Clayoquot Sound. Kayaks line the gravel foreshore while fishing boats, whale-watch vessels and float planes from the nearby air dock come and go.
Mountains Across the Inlet
The camera looks north across the harbour toward the forest-clad slopes of Meares Island and the rounded summit of Catface Mountain, with Vargas Island framing the western horizon. These rugged islands form the heart of the Clayoquot Sound UNESCO Biosphere Region.
Powerful Pacific Tides
Tofino's tides can shift as much as four metres, exposing broad tidal flats and driving strong currents that pour through the channels beyond the docks. Watching the water rise and fall reveals the restless rhythm of this Pacific inlet.
