Talvik Village & Altafjord Panorama
OnlineThis elevated webcam looks out over the village of Talvik as it spreads along the shore of the Altafjord in Arctic Norway. Green coastal meadows, scattered timber houses and a small marina frame the silvery fjord, with low rounded mountains rising on the far side. A genuinely tranquil Sami coastal community far above the Arctic Circle.

Everything you need to know about this live stream
The Village of Talvik
Talvik is a small coastal settlement in the municipality of Alta, an old fishing and trading post whose timber houses cluster between the shoreline and the open hillside meadows. The webcam's elevated vantage captures the village strung along the water, with its church and small harbour at the centre of the scene.
The Altafjord
The broad Altafjord dominates the view, its calm waters reaching toward the mountains of the opposite shore. The fjord is a sheltered Arctic waterway used by fishing boats and small craft, and its ever-changing surface reflects the wide northern sky.
Arctic Landscape
Talvik lies well above the Arctic Circle, in a region of rounded coastal mountains, treeless uplands and deep fjords. The surrounding terrain is shaped by glacial valleys and the harsh, open character of Finnmark's coast.
Visiting the Region
The area is part of the traditional Sami coastal homeland and a gateway to the wider Alta region, known for its dramatic scenery, rock art heritage and access to remote Arctic nature. The webcam offers a constant window onto this distant northern community.
