A Remote Island Off the New England Coast
Star Island is one of the nine Isles of Shoals, a scattered archipelago of granite outcrops set well offshore in the Gulf of Maine. The camera frames the island's southwestward outlook, where bare ledges and tide pools give way to a vast, uninterrupted horizon of open Atlantic water.
