Rockwood Railfan Park Train Camera

A Busy Appalachian Rail Corridor

This camera looks out over Norfolk Southern's Cincinnati, New Orleans & Texas Pacific (CNO&TP) mainline as it threads through the small Tennessee town of Rockwood. The line carries intermodal, coal, and general freight, making this one of the busier train-watching spots in the southeastern Appalachian region.

Railfan Park

The fixed view is hosted at Railfan Park on West Rockwood Street, a dedicated trackside park maintained by the city. It features a restored Southern Railway caboose and a covered gazebo with a railfan platform, offering a safe and scenic vantage point for enthusiasts.

The northbound fixed angle captures the grade crossing, signal gantries, and the steel rails stretching toward the wooded hills. Long freight consists frequently rumble through, with the warning lights and crossing signals springing to life as each train approaches.

Positioned roughly midway between Knoxville and Chattanooga, Rockwood sits on a historic rail route through eastern Tennessee. The surrounding scenery of green ridges and modest industrial buildings gives the feed an authentic small-town railroading character.
