Port Isaac Harbour & Fishing Village
OnlineOverlooking the sheltered tidal harbour of Port Isaac, one of Cornwall's most photographed fishing villages, this camera takes in whitewashed cottages and slate-roofed houses tumbling down steep green hillsides toward the slipway. As the tide retreats the sandy harbour floor emerges, where traditional inshore fishing boats rest beside the historic stone Platt. The rugged Atlantic coastline frames a scene made famous on screen as the fictional Portwenn.

Everything you need to know about this live stream
A Quintessential Cornish Fishing Village
Port Isaac is a working fishing village on the rugged north coast of Cornwall, its narrow, winding lanes โ including the famously tight Squeeze-ee-belly Alley โ threading between whitewashed cottages that date back centuries. The view takes in the natural amphitheatre of houses rising steeply from the harbour.
The Tidal Harbour & The Platt
At the heart of the scene lies the Platt, the village's stone harbour, where small inshore fishing boats are hauled up onto the sand. The harbour dries out completely as the tide retreats, revealing the sandy seabed, and refills as the Atlantic returns โ a constant tidal rhythm central to village life.
Television Fame as Portwenn
Port Isaac is known worldwide as Portwenn, the fictional setting of the long-running drama Doc Martin, and as the home of the sea-shanty group the Fisherman's Friends. Visitors come to recognise the cottages and harbour from the screen.
Atlantic Coast & Surrounding Cliffs
Beyond the harbour, the camera frames the dramatic Atlantic cliffs of the South West Coast Path, where green headlands plunge toward the sea. This stretch of coast is prized for its wild, unspoilt scenery and abundant seabird life.
