Playa Linda sits at the northern end of the Ixtapa hotel strip, where the resort's paved boulevard gives way to open sand and swaying palms. It is best known as the embarkation point for boats crossing to nearby Isla Ixtapa, so the shoreline stays busy with palapas, horseback riders, and small fishing skiffs alongside sunbathers.

The camera shares its view with a full meteorological dashboard, reporting live readings for air temperature, humidity, UV index, barometric pressure, wind speed and direction, and wave height — a rare combination that turns a simple beach view into a genuine coastal monitoring station.
