The Biathlon Range

The view centers on the shooting stadium of the Plateau du Retord, with its row of numbered firing lanes and the long wall of mechanical knock-down targets used for the standing and prone stages of biathlon. The flat firing line and the open run-in make this a working Nordic competition venue.

A High Jura Plateau

Set at altitude in the Massif du Retord, the surrounding rolling meadows and dark spruce woods are classic Jura highland scenery. The plateau is a well-known cross-country skiing and biathlon area that draws athletes and outdoor enthusiasts across the seasons.

Les Plans d'Hotonnes

The station sits above Les Plans d'Hotonnes, a hamlet of the commune of Haut-Valromey in the Ain department. Its network of groomed trails and the biathlon range in view form one of the leading Nordic centers of the southern Jura.
