A Sheltered Adriatic Harbor

The Perčin marina sits along the waterfront of Crikvenica, a coastal town on Croatia's Kvarner Riviera long known as a quiet seaside retreat. Small craft — wooden rowboats, family fishing boats and modest motor cruisers — line up gunwale to gunwale against the stone quay, tethered by crisscrossing mooring lines.

The harbor is operated by the Županijska lučka uprava Crikvenica (Crikvenica County Port Authority), which maintains the moorings and channel markers that keep local boat traffic organized. Colorful buoys anchored offshore mark the fairway for vessels heading in and out of the sheltered basin.

Kvarner Bay Backdrop

Beyond the moored boats, the open waters of the Kvarner Gulf stretch toward the horizon, part of the Adriatic passage that separates the Istrian peninsula from the Croatian mainland's Dalmatian coast.
