Paratinga Rail Yard Freight Trains
OnlineThis trackside camera overlooks the Pátio de Paratinga, a busy freight rail yard in São Vicente resting at the foot of the imposing Serra do Mar escarpment. Heavy cargo trains run by operators such as Rumo, MRS and VLI are sorted and marshalled here before the steep haul down to the Port of Santos, giving railfans a front-row view of relentless mainline action.

Everything you need to know about this live stream
A Strategic Yard at the Foot of the Serra do Mar
The Pátio de Paratinga sits where the coastal lowlands of São Vicente meet the towering wall of the Serra do Mar. It is the last major marshalling yard that cargo trains pass through before tackling the steep mountain grade, making it a pivotal link in the rail corridor that feeds the Port of Santos, Latin America's largest port complex.
Heavy Freight in Constant Motion
Operated today by Rumo Logística and shared with MRS Logística and VLI, the yard hosts a steady churn of long container, grain and fuel consists. The camera captures locomotives coupling and uncoupling, wagons being shuffled across the throat of the yard, and full trains rolling out toward the serra.
From Sorocabana to the Modern Corridor
The yard traces its roots to the historic Estrada de Ferro Sorocabana and was later expanded in the Fepasa era. That deep heritage is still visible in the track layout and infrastructure, even as modern heavy-haul operations dominate the daily rhythm of the site.
What the Live Stream Shows
Viewers get a continuous, trackside vantage of one of Brazil's most active freight chokepoints. Because everything climbing toward Araraquara passes here first, the feed acts as an early radar for trains soon to appear on the channel's other cameras along the line.
