A Busy Midwestern Railroad Junction
The camera overlooks the S 1st Street crossing in Pacific, Missouri, a historic railroad town west of St Louis. Two busy mainlines converge here: the Union Pacific line between Jefferson City and St Louis and the BNSF Cuba Sub running toward Rolla, giving an almost constant flow of traffic.
What You Will See
Long intermodal and manifest freights, mixed road power and the state-sponsored Amtrak Missouri River Runner all pass through the frame. The active crossing gates, signals and bells make every train movement easy to follow.
The Pacific Partnership Pavilion
The view comes from a dedicated railfan viewing pavilion in downtown Pacific, hosted by the local Pacific Partnership community group. A companion PTZ camera covers the same junction from a different angle for close-up train spotting.
