The Osprey Nest

The camera frames a substantial osprey nest raised on a purpose-built platform high above the water. These large fish-eating raptors return to the same site to breed, repairing the bulky stick structure and tending eggs and chicks within view of the lens.

A Golf-Course Wetland

The nest stands over a landscaped pond threaded through the fairways of a private golf community. The surrounding wetland habitat, dotted with cabbage palms and native grasses, draws herons, anhingas and other water birds alongside the resident ospreys.
