The osprey (Pandion haliaetus) is a specialist hunter that feeds almost exclusively on fish, and this bulky stick nest sits perfectly placed for the job — a short glide above the waters of Kamloops Lake. Built up year after year with driftwood, bark and scavenged debris, the platform is a testament to the species' famous nest fidelity, with breeding pairs returning to the same structure season after season.
