The Vieille Darse is the original harbour of Toulon, dug in the 16th century to shelter the city's fishing and trading fleet. Surrounded by old quayside buildings, it remains one of the most characterful corners of the city, blending centuries of naval heritage with everyday port life.

Boats and the Basin

The sheltered basin holds a dense mix of moored sailboats, motor cruisers and small fishing craft. Pontoons and quays line the water, and the Quai du Petit Rang frames the foreground where visitors stroll between the boats and waterfront cafés.
