A Working Harbor on the Pacific

Oceanside Harbor sits at the mouth of the San Luis Rey River on the coast of northern San Diego County, sheltered by a pair of rock jetties that break the Pacific swell. This camera surveys the harbor entrance and the North Jetty, marked by its distinctive red daybeacon, giving a wide view of the channel vessels use to reach open water.

Boats, Sailors, and a Nautical Community

The feed is maintained by America's Boating Club Oceanside, a local chapter dedicated to boating education and safety on the water. Sailboats, powerboats, and fishing vessels regularly thread the channel, and the camera occasionally pans across the adjoining marina to follow activity around the docks.

Wildlife Along the Jetty

Beyond the boat traffic, the rocky jetty and open water attract a steady cast of coastal wildlife: pelicans, gulls, and other seabirds frequently perch on the breakwater or skim low over the swell, adding a wild edge to this working stretch of coastline.
