Nowon is one of Seoul's most populous districts, a vast planned quarter of high-rise housing threaded by the Jungnangcheon and Uicheon streams. From this height the neighbourhoods of Sanggye, Junggye and Hagye merge into a single shimmering expanse.

The Bulamsan Foreground

Rising to 508 metres on the border of Seoul and Namyangju, Bulamsan is a beloved granite peak laced with hiking trails. Its forested slopes form the camera's dramatic foreground, a natural balcony above the metropolis.
