Everything you need to know about this live stream
The Observatory
This hilltop observatory pairs a classic rotating white dome for its main telescope with a low, glass-walled pavilion used for outreach and public stargazing nights. Perched in the open at altitude, it enjoys the dark, unobstructed horizons that make this a notable site for amateur astronomy.
The Setting
The camera looks out over the Apennine foothills of Romagna, a landscape of wooded ridges, pasture and scattered hill villages. The 765-metre vantage gives a wide, layered view of valleys folding away toward the distant mountain spine.
Brisighella & Surroundings
Below lies Brisighella, one of Italy's most beautiful villages, famous for its three rocky pinnacles, medieval streets and renowned local olive oil. The wider Province of Ravenna blends this inland highland country with the Adriatic coast beyond.
Watching the Sky
The feed is a favourite for following the changing skies over the hills and, after dark, the celestial dome the observatory was built to study. It offers a serene, elevated window onto one of Emilia-Romagna's quieter, more contemplative corners.
