This overhead camera surveys one of the country's largest permanent model railroad layouts, a five-year, 280,000-volunteer-hour build that fills the exhibit hall floor with sculpted granite peaks, alpine forest and switchback grades in HO scale.

Operating Trains & Scenery

Multiple freight and passenger trains operate simultaneously across roughly eighty scale miles of hand-laid track, threading tunnels, trestle bridges and a working logging yard stacked with scale timber.

Colorado Model Railroad Museum

Located in Greeley, Colorado, the museum also displays historic railroad artifacts, including a 1919 Colorado and Southern caboose, alongside the operating layout captured by this feed.

Watching the Feed

The camera runs during the museum's public visiting hours, giving railfans and model-train enthusiasts worldwide an ongoing view of the layout in action from anywhere.
