A Wide View Over Lake Murray

This fixed camera looks out across a broad reach of Lake Murray, the large reservoir that spans several counties in central South Carolina. Pine and hardwood trees frame the shot, with a private dock reaching out over the calm water toward the open lake.

Part of the Lake Murray Osprey Project

The stream is one of several feeds run by the Lake Murray Osprey monitoring project, which has followed a resident osprey pair nesting on the property since 2013. This wider-angle view complements the project's dedicated nest camera, giving viewers a sense of the lakeside habitat the birds patrol for fish.

A South Carolina Reservoir Landscape

Lake Murray is one of South Carolina's largest man-made lakes, built in the 1930s and now ringed by forested shoreline and residential coves. The open water and tree line visible here are typical of the lake's quieter reaches, away from its busier public marinas.
