The Historic Ukon Shipowner Residence

The feed is broadcast from the Kitamaebune Shipowner's Residence (Ukon Family), a preserved estate that once belonged to one of the wealthy merchants who ran the legendary Kitamaebune trading ships along Japan's coast. Its Western Hall overlooks the very harbor from which these vessels set sail.

The Village of Kōno

Nestled in Minamiechizen, the hamlet of Kōno is a quiet stretch of the rugged Echizen coast. A coastal road threads between the sea and traditional homes, linking fishing communities that have lived from these waters for centuries.
