The Illinois Railway Museum in Union preserves one of the largest collections of streetcars, interurban cars, and railroad equipment in North America, gathered from cities and rail lines across the continent.

The Car Line Junction

This camera frames the east junction of the Car Line, the museum's demonstration trolley route, where diverging tracks meet beneath the overhead wire that powers the vintage cars.

Volunteer-Run Heritage Railway

The museum is operated largely by volunteers who restore and run its fleet, keeping alive the craft of traditional rail and trolley operations on several miles of demonstration track.
