Everything you need to know about this live stream
The Hjaltadalur Valley
The camera commands a wide view down Hjaltadalur, a broad glacial valley in the Skagafjörður district of northern Iceland. A braided river threads the valley floor between meadows and pasture, framed by long, flat-topped mountains whose upper slopes hold ribbons of snow through much of the year.
Historic Hólar
At the valley's heart sits Hólar í Hjaltadal, one of Iceland's most storied settlements and a former episcopal see. Today it is home to Hólar University, an agricultural and equine college whose farms and paddocks shape the working countryside in view.
A Northern Wilderness
Set deep in Iceland's Northwestern Region, the scene captures the spare, open character of the high north — winding gravel roads, scattered farmsteads, and the vast arctic sky where the aurora borealis can dance above the ridgelines.
