This camera surveys Heron Point by Pete Dye, one of the championship courses at the Sea Pines Resort. The design is defined by its strategic bunkering, undulating greens and the water that snakes through the fairways, demanding precision from every player.

The Lowcountry Setting

Spanning the southern tip of Hilton Head Island, the layout rolls across classic Lowcountry terrain — flat, lush turf rimmed by lagoons, sandy waste areas and dense stands of pine and palmetto that give the island its subtropical character.

Wildlife & Water

The lagoons that frame the holes are home to herons, egrets and other coastal birds that give the course its name, often gliding across the still water or wading along the bulkheaded banks within view of the camera.
