Harbour Village Coral Reef

An underwater window on the Caribbean

This live feed sits at the mouth of Harbour Village Marina, on the sheltered leeward coast where the fringing reef begins just steps from the shore. At roughly five metres down, the camera captures the gin-clear visibility that makes these waters a world-renowned destination for divers and snorkellers.

A living reef community

A hard-coral head anchors the scene while shoals of sergeant majors, damselfish and other reef species hover and forage across the frame. The reef teems with movement, giving viewers an ever-changing look at how a healthy Caribbean ecosystem behaves.

Coral restoration in action

The metal wire-frame domes visible on the seabed are part of a long-running reef-restoration experiment run with local conservation partners, comparing how coral fragments grow on different substrates. The camera doubles as a public science window onto that ongoing work.

A camera that pans the reef

Operating on a preset tour of chosen vantage points around the marina entrance, the camera reveals different facets of the same underwater garden — from the coral colony to the open sand flats and the restoration structures — all at a single, closely monitored dive site.
