A Major Tokyo Rail Corridor
This elevated camera overlooks Hamamatsuchō Station and one of the busiest railway corridors in central Tokyo. A broad fan of tracks carries the JR Yamanote loop line, the Keihin-Tōhoku line and the Tōkaidō main line, with commuter and limited-express services passing in a near-constant stream.
The Tokyo Monorail
Curving in from the left is the Tokyo Monorail, whose Hamamatsuchō terminal links the city centre to Haneda Airport. Its elevated guideway threads between office towers before reaching the station complex.
City Backdrop
Beyond the tracks rise the offices and hotels of the Minato and Shimbashi districts, a dense wall of glass and light typical of the Japanese capital. Roads and pedestrian decks frame the foreground.
About the Location
Hamamatsuchō Station sits in Minato City, Tokyo, a key interchange between JR lines, the Tokyo Monorail and the surrounding business district, and one of the principal gateways toward Haneda Airport.
