A Window on the Firth of Forth
Perched on the coastline of Aberdour, this continuously streaming weathercam faces east across the wide, tidal waters of the Firth of Forth. The estuary here is broad and open, giving the camera an expansive, uninterrupted sweep of sky and sea that shifts constantly with the wind, tide, and passing cloud.
Burntisland and Inchkeith Island
Directly across the water sits Burntisland, its low hills capped by the Craigkelly transmitter tower, visible on the left of the frame. To the right, the uninhabited Isle of Inchkeith rises from the estuary, a former lighthouse station that has guided ships through the Forth for generations.
A Fife Coastal Village
Aberdour is one of the most picturesque villages on Fife's southern coast, known for its sheltered bay, sandy beaches, and a working harbour that has served local fishing boats for generations. The village's setting on the Forth has long made it a favoured base for exploring this stretch of the Scottish coastline.
