A Traditional Cycladic Hillside Village

Dyo Chorio — literally "Two Villages" — is a cluster of hamlets set high on the terraced slopes of Tinos, in the heart of the Cyclades. Its whitewashed cubic houses, narrow lanes and small chapels reflect the vernacular architecture shared across the island's inland settlements.

Terraces Carved Into the Slope

Generations of islanders shaped these hillsides into dry-stone terraces, still used to grow vegetables, olives and grapes. The webcam frames this agricultural mosaic, crossed by narrow footpaths and low stone walls that have defined the local landscape for centuries.

A View Toward the Aegean

Beyond the cultivated slopes, the land descends toward the coast near Glysterni, opening onto the open waters of the Aegean Sea. The camera captures this layered panorama — village, terraces and sea — that defines Tinos's rural character.
