Where the Susquehanna Meets the Chesapeake

This camera looks out over the Susquehanna Flats, the vast, shallow expanse where the Susquehanna River pours into the northern Chesapeake Bay. The wide, mirror-flat water is one of the great estuarine meeting points on the eastern seaboard.

The view comes from the second-floor deck of the Havre de Grace Decoy Museum, a landmark devoted to the region's celebrated tradition of hand-carved waterfowl decoys. Below, a timber boardwalk and native waterfront gardens frame the shoreline.
