Cundys Harbor sits at the tip of Harpswell, one of the oldest continuously operating lobstering communities in Maine. The camera frames the protected inlet where draggers and skiffs swing at their moorings, a scene that has anchored the village's maritime livelihood for generations.

Tidal waters and a forested shore

The far bank rises into the dense spruce and birch woodland typical of the midcoast islands, while a long wooded island shelters the channel from open water. The narrow tidal passage shifts with the strong Gulf of Maine tides that flush the harbor twice a day.

Boats, docks and coastal life
