Clark PUD Osprey Nest Cam
OnlineThis Osprey nest camera gives an intimate view of a resident pair raising their chicks atop a dedicated utility pole platform in Clark County, Washington. The sprawling stick nest sits high above the ground, letting viewers watch the parents guard, feed, and shelter their young throughout each nesting season.
Hosted by Clark Public Utilities, the feed is part of a community program built to keep these skilled fish hawks safely away from active power lines while sharing their family life with the public.
About This Webcam
Everything you need to know about this live stream
A Nest Built to Keep the Power On
Clark Public Utilities mounted this camera on a dedicated pole platform after ospreys repeatedly built nests atop live transmission structures, where dropped sticks could short circuits and spark outages. The relocated platform gives the birds a safe, elevated perch of their own.
Raising a Family on Camera
Each season a breeding pair returns to incubate eggs, feed hatchlings, and defend the nest from intruders. The sprawling tangle of sticks and grasses grows a little larger every year as the pair keeps reinforcing it.
A Utility-Backed Conservation Effort
The stream is part of a broader Osprey Watch program that combines wildlife stewardship with public education, letting the community follow the fish hawks' life cycle from courtship to fledging.
