Cat Tien Wildlife Forest Edge
OnlineThis live camera watches the forest-grassland edge deep inside Cat Tien National Park, one of Vietnam's largest protected lowland rainforests. The view frames an open meadow meeting a wall of dense jungle, a natural boundary where wildlife emerges from cover. Peafowl, deer, wild boar, porcupines and civets move along this quietly hypnotic threshold into a thriving ecosystem.

A Living Forest Boundary
The camera overlooks a forest-grassland edge, the precise line where Cat Tien's dense lowland jungle gives way to an open grassy clearing. Ecologists call these transition zones ecotones, and they rank among the most biologically active places in any forest.
Wildlife at the Edge
This threshold is a stage for constant movement. Peafowl and other birds step out from the treeline, deer graze near the cover of the forest, and wild boar, porcupines and civets appear along the boundary before slipping back into the green. No two sightings are ever quite the same.
Cat Tien National Park
Cat Tien is one of Vietnam's largest protected areas, a UNESCO-listed biosphere reserve of tropical lowland rainforest, wetlands and grassland. It shelters rare species including gaur, sun bears and the critically endangered Siamese crocodile.
Rangers and the Wild
The feed is operated by the Katien Ranger Patrol in collaboration with the park, monitoring habitats where animal behaviour can be observed most clearly. Viewers who spot movement help build a living record of the forest.
