The Airfield Panorama

The lens frames a wide southern sweep of Burlington International Airport (BTV), Vermont's busiest air gateway. The concrete apron, taxiways and a long active runway stretch across the foreground, where regional jets and turboprops position between the terminal and the field.

Terminal & Ground Operations

In the right of frame the modern terminal presents its glass-and-steel facade, with jet bridges reaching toward parked aircraft and ground-service vehicles working the ramp. The structured choreography of pushbacks, taxis and gate turns plays out continuously below the camera.

Mountain Horizon

Beyond the airfield perimeter the land rolls toward the Green Mountains, whose layered ridgelines frame the southern skyline. The high vantage gives an unusually broad sense of the Champlain Valley setting that cradles the airport.

A SkyWatch Vantage

Operated as part of the WCAX SkyWatch3 network, this is a permanent fixed installation trained on the south airfield. Its sweeping field of view makes it as much a study of Vermont's open sky as of the aviation activity unfolding beneath it.
