Bird's Eye Sky Cam

A Watchful Eye Above Southern Michigan

Mounted high above the countryside near Battle Creek, the Bird's Eye Sky Cam offers a sweeping, uninterrupted view across the open sky and the quiet rural road below. Its elevated position captures the vast, flat horizon typical of this part of the Midwest.

Hosted by a Wildlife Sanctuary

The camera operates from the grounds of Birds and Beaks Rescue and Rehab, a nonprofit parrot sanctuary in Calhoun County. Alongside its work caring for rescued birds, the sanctuary now hosts this sky-facing lens as a service to the surrounding community.

Part of a Community Storm-Awareness Network

The Bird's Eye Sky Cam was installed in memory of a longtime volunteer lost to a tornado, joining the Michigan Storm Chasers network. Its wide horizon helps residents keep an eye on approaching fronts and changing sky conditions well before they reach town.
