Everything you need to know about this live stream
The Lighthouse Islet
Bengtskär is a tiny, treeless granite skerry rising from the outer Archipelago Sea, crowned by the tallest lighthouse in the Nordic countries. Built of local granite in 1906, the towering structure has long guided vessels through these treacherous, shoal-strewn waters.
Harbour & Coastline
In the foreground, a small stone harbour and a sheltered landing pier offer the islet's only safe approach. Smooth, lichen-streaked boulders and low rocky ledges frame the shoreline, where the open sea meets the bare granite of this exposed maritime outpost.
The Baltic Horizon
Beyond the rocks, the Baltic Sea stretches unbroken to the horizon. This is one of the outermost inhabited points of the Finnish archipelago, a place where the water shifts between steel-grey swell and glassy calm as it rolls toward the distant skerries.
A Remote Heritage Site
Far from the mainland, Bengtskär is a cherished heritage landmark and museum reachable only by boat. The camera captures the raw, elemental character of the open Baltic and the solitary grandeur of life at the edge of the sea.
