Baroque Altar of St. Michael

A Baroque Sanctuary in Budča

The Church of St. Michael the Archangel stands in Budča, a village in Slovakia's Banská Bystrica Region. This camera is trained on its richly decorated high altar, offering an intimate view of the sanctuary that has anchored the parish's spiritual life for generations.

Ornate Altar and Sacred Art

Carved wooden statues of angels flank a gilded crucifix, beneath a painted altarpiece depicting St. Michael the Archangel vanquishing evil. A smaller side altar holds an image of the Virgin Mary, and an embroidered antependium bearing the IHS monogram drapes the altar table.

A Living Parish Tradition

Maintained by the local parish, Farnosť Budča, the feed connects the wider community to the church's daily liturgical life, from Mass to private prayer, and reflects the enduring role of small-village parishes in Slovak Catholic tradition.
