Ballot Counting Room

Election Transparency in Action

The Pima County Elections Department streams this live feed from its ballot counting room, giving the public a direct window into how cast ballots are tabulated after they are received. The camera looks across rows of scanning stations and sorting equipment used by county election staff.

Inside the Counting Room

Trained staff and bipartisan observers move between tabulation machines and prep tables, following the county's documented two-person protocol whenever voted ballots are handled outside a sealed container. The layout keeps every station visible to the public feed at all times.

Pima County, Arizona

The facility sits in Tucson, the seat of Pima County, one of Arizona's most populous counties. Alongside the county's separate ballot processing center, this room is dedicated specifically to the tabulation stage of the vote-counting workflow.

A Model for Civic Transparency

By keeping this camera public, Pima County allows residents, journalists, and election observers anywhere to check in on the ballot counting operation without needing to visit in person, reinforcing confidence in the integrity of the election process.
